Sublimation 101
What can you sublimate on? The complete 2026 list
Sublimation only bonds with polyester or a polyester-coated surface — but that covers a lot more than mugs and t-shirts. Here is the full list of what you can sublimate on in 2026, ranked by how easy it is to start, how well it sells, and what gear you actually need.
In one paragraph
You can sublimate on any surface that is 100% polyester, a high-polyester blend (65%+), or coated with a polymer layer designed to accept sublimation ink. The ink turns from solid to gas under heat and bonds with the polymer — so the print becomes part of the surface, not a sticker on top.
Who it's for
Beginners
Start with flat polyester blanks: t-shirts, tote bags, mousepads and lead sleeves. One press, one minute, no shaping.
Etsy & Shopify sellers
Pick blanks with low saturation and high retail price. Pet blanks and lead sleeves currently sit at the top of that ranking.
Cricut users
Infusible Ink works on the same polyester-coated blanks. Everything on this list is Cricut-compatible.
