What dye-sublimation actually is

Dye-sublimation uses heat to convert solid dye into gas, which bonds permanently with polyester fibres. There is no ink layer sitting on top — the colour is in the fabric. That's why a properly-sublimated blank doesn't peel, crack, or wash out.

Why blank design matters

The print is only as good as the substrate. Mixed fibre content muddies colour. Coatings flake. Lead Sleeve's blanks use a high-polyester face designed and tested specifically for sublimation — not generic apparel fabric.

Workflows we support

Any standard dye-sub stack: EcoTank conversions, Sawgrass, Epson SureColor F-series. Mirror, press at 195–205°C for 45–60 seconds, peel hot.
